New Led Zeppelin On The Way? Jason Bonham Hints At 'Jam' Sessions With Jimmy Page -- But Not Robert Plant

Drummer admits he doesn't know what will come of 'new material.'
By Chris Harris

On Friday morning, mere hours before he was due to take the stage with classic rockers Foreigner at Detroit's GM Renaissance Center, drummer Jason Bonham — the son of late Led Zeppelin kitman John Bonham — told Jim Johnson and Lynne Woodison of local rock station 94.7 WCSX that he'd be an ex-member of Foreigner as of September 1. But that's not the only thing he said.

Much to the delight of Led Zeppelin fans everywhere, Bonham revealed that he's been meeting up with Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones in recent months and that they've been "trying to do some new material and writing."

It was the first time since Led Zeppelin announced they would re-form for a single performance (which happened late last year at London's O2 Arena, in honor of the late Ahmet Ertegün, who signed the band to Atlantic Records in 1969) that anyone connected to the band has confirmed publicly that new music could be on the horizon for the iconic rockers. While the bandmembers have stopped short of definitively ruling out such a reunion, singer Robert Plant insisted in the wake of last year's show that he intended to focus on promoting and touring behind his critically lauded album with bluegrass artist Alison Krauss, Raising Sand.

Not that Bonham knows what — if anything — will happen with the new material he's been working on with Page (who collaborated with pop singer Leona Lewis on an uneven version of Zep's "Whole Lotta Love" at the Olympic closing ceremonies in Beijing on Sunday night) and Jones. He said he just shows up and takes his seat behind the kit.

"I've been over [to England] a couple of times," Bonham said. "I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying to do ... some new material and some writing. I don't know what it will be, but it will be something. At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material. When I get there, I never ask any questions. If I get a phone call to go and play, I enjoy every moment of it. Whatever it ends up as, to ever get a chance to jam with two people like that, it is a phenomenal thing for me. It's my life. It's what I've dreamed about doing."

He said it's still too early to tell what will become of these "jam" sessions, but admitted that the "possibility of doing something is in the cards. I really felt it was in the cards from the moment we walked offstage at the O2." Bonham also explained that, before there could be a Led Zep LP, "lots of politics [would need to] get ironed out," but added that recording with Zep is "something I've always wanted to do."

Bonham noticeably didn't mention frontman Plant's name during the discussion. A spokesperson for Page's management had no comment on the matter, and a spokesperson for Jones' management could not be reached by press time.

Hugo Boss Logo Bit Loafers: A New Trendy Footwear For Special Occasions

Now here?s a trendy footwear for us guys from Hugo Boss. Frankly, this type of footwear is exactly what every guy should have for formal shoes. Aside from the fact that it kicks ass (well of course not literally), but it is so comfortable and quick to put on.

Hugo Boss? Logo Bit Loafers is a modern version of the mid-1930s loafers. Instead of slightly worn-out or rugged style shoes, these new loafers are rather more formal and sleek. In front is the vamp, which is slightly pointed. Unlike other shoes, this one shows off the tongue part completely and is decorated with metal buckles.

Justin Bieber And Manager Study Cautionary Tales Of Teen Stars

Scooter Braun says the secret to Bieber's longevity will be his personal life.
By Eric Ditzian

After picking up four trophies at the American Music Awards, Justin Bieber was back in Canada on Monday night, playing a sold-out show at Montreal's Centre Bell. The 16-year-old hasn't been back in his native country much since his latest tour kicked off this summer. And, according to Bieber's manager, that constant traveling is hard on his family.

"I think his dad misses him a lot because he doesn't get to see Justin as much," Scooter Braun told The Hollywood Reporter of his client, who was recently announced as one of Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2010." "I think his mother — she and I have talked about this — at times, she struggles with how protective we have to be of him."

At the same time, though, Bieber's mom is thankful that she can be protective of him while they're on the road. "[S]he feels safer with him living this life because it's structured, and we know where he is all the time," Braun said. "She feels that if they were still in Stratford, Ontario, he'd be getting himself into a lot of trouble."

Instead, the Biebs is in the midst of a 90-show international tour that weaves through North America before jumping over to the U.K. next year. And he has no plans to slow down anytime soon. Pop-culture history is littered with epic flameouts, artists who rose to fame and quickly disappeared. But Bieber is so committed to avoiding such a fate, Braun said, he researches folks who fall into the "Where are they now?" category.

"Justin doesn't study the people who made it," Braun said. "He studies the people who haven't. He hears all the naysayers about how he's going to disappear, so he likes to look up people who used to be the so-called Justin Biebers before him and didn't go anywhere. He wants to see why they didn't go anywhere. The general feeling we get is that it had nothing to do with their talent and everything to do with their personal life. Like the kids fall into drugs and destroy their own trajectory."

How Did Rachel Uchitel?s Decision To Be On ?Celebrity Rehab? Affect Her Chances For ?Celebrity Apprentice??

Well, easy come, easy go. I told you that Donald Trump had extended an offer to the first alleged Tiger Woods' mistress, Rachel Uchitel, to be on the upcoming season of 'Celebrity Apprentice.'Then it was announced today that Rachel is one of the people who will be on 'Celebrity Rehab' (for $500,000, according to TMZ). How did that sit with the Donald? TMZ asked.
Trump's reaction: "It's a terrible decision. We have zero interest in her now."Trump thinks Rachel will regret her decision. "Look at what 'Celebrity Apprentice' did for Piers Morgan. He's getting Larry King's job. She made a bad mistake."Trump's final shot: "Celebrity Apprentice is a huge show and 'Celebrity Rehab' is not. I have 10 people who want to be on the show for every slot that's available. I'm moving on."
Hmmm. Well, it sounds like Rachel went where the guaranteed money was (although Donald had made her an offer, NBC has final say on who competes on the show). Do you think she made the right choice?Photos by INFContinue reading

Plus-Size Model Julie Henderson Talks the Future of Plus-Size Modeling, Bullying & Curves for Change

When most people think about models, the image of a pretty face with a blank stare, often come to mind. But plus-sized model Julie Henderson is living proof that beauty and brains can go hand-in-hand. After attending the prestigious University of Notre Dame and a variety of high-profile corporate jobs, Julie made the leap into a successful plus-size modeling career, signing with the Wilhelmina agency and working with brands like L'Oreal, Target, Avenue, and H&M.

The 6'1'' stunner recently spoke to Black Voices about the perception of plus-size models, bullying, and her charity work as founder of Curves for Change, an organization that seeks to create self-esteem in women of all sizes.

How did you get your start modeling?

As a kid, I dreamt of being an Olympic basketball player and fighter pilot. I was a big tomboy. Modeling was never on my radar. It wasn't until I stopped playing basketball that my best friend -- who attended Notre Dame with me -- forced me into a modeling agency, and that's when it all began. I drove to New York City with $200 in my pocket and nowhere to live, but somehow I found a way to make it.

In the past, plus-sized models seemed to be shunned by big name designers and magazines, how do you feel it has progressed?

I truly believe the world is finally ready and dying to see a different version of beauty. With all the terrible things that are going on in the world today, I think people are hungry for something different. For so long, the fashion world has proclaimed there is only one version of beauty. But times are changing. You have models like Crystal Renn, Marquita Pring, Camilla Hansen, Lizzie Miller, Kate Dillon and Inga Eiriksdottir, to name a few, who can definitely hold their own, whether they are straight size or plus. Every model brings something different when she steps in front of that lens; it's her energy that the camera catches. With the combination of strong plus-size models breaking out and a world dying for a taste of something new, who knows where it could actually go.

We've all watched the recent media attention given to bullying, a huge national epidemic that has a long-lasting impact on self-esteem problems and body image. What advice do you have for young women who may have experience bullying or been targeted because of their size or weight?

I was picked on as a young kid as well. The one thing that saved me was basketball. It helped shape me in a million different ways. My weight was actually useful. Skinny girls were rarely good and they were so easy to push around on the court. My weight made me a good ball player. I started to see the purpose of why I was given such big thighs, hips, and butt -- to box-out, of course! Also, when you have a team of 12 girls behind you, people tend to stay away from you. Something about winning, losing, sweating and sacrificing as a group forms this incredible bond, and it gave me a family all the way from middle school to college. I encourage kids to become part of a team in some shape or form, whether it is the chess team, the soccer team or the debate team.

What inspired you to help create Curves for Change?

Kate Dillon and I came up with Curves For Change (C4C) because we thought it would be amazing to see what kind of impact the plus-size world could have on women around the world. We believe everyone has something unique to share. Modeling is a very self-involved career; you're worried about what job you're getting next, who booked what job, etc. We wanted to change that and actually use our platform to make other women's lives better. Instead of tearing each other down, why not lift each other up? We're starting with our fashion community, and will see where it takes us. It's been an amazing experience.

What can people expect from the 5k event?

Our 5k event will take place this spring. Avenue is the official sponsor of the 5k walk and we hope to gather 300 people to raise money for our two charities. Avenue has been an amazing support for C4C because they love women with curves. They have built and designed our entire website. We couldn't have done any of this without them.

Why did you choose the Komera Project and Hardy Girls Healthy Women to donate the proceeds of the 5k to?

The Komera Project is dear to my heart for many reasons. Kate co-founded it along with Margaret Butler, who is in Rwanda as we speak. Little girls in Rwanda are often forgotten. If their families have money to send their kids to school, the boys automatically get to go first. Girls are not encouraged to play sports, run or do anything other than take care of the home. It breaks my heart to see all these little girls left behind. So many things that we take for granted -- running water, shoes, even tampons -- they are in dire need of. Hardy Girls Healthy Women (HGHW) is also an amazing charity. They are based in the United States. It is important to us that we reach girls in the states as well as across the globe. HGHW provides workshops for little girls teaching them to love their bodies. As plus-size models, it's important to give these girls another example of what beauty is.

What fashion advice do you have for our readers?

Be yourself, be yourself, be yourself! Just because it's the "it" trend of the moment, doesn't mean you have to wear it. Even if you are just wearing jeans and a t-shirt, make sure you are dressing for you. Fashion is a form of expressing who you are, so don't be afraid to do so. Don't be afraid to go against the trends. No matter what weight, height, or size, everyone can find something that fits their body and makes them feel like themselves.

Lady Gaga Says Born This Way Is Nearly Finished, 'Almost Perfect'

'It won't be much longer, it's almost perfect. But I (we) don't want almost,' Gaga tweets about forthcoming album.
By James Montgomery

By now, you are probably aware that Lady Gaga's upcoming Born This Way album is "incredible," "shocking," "bold and beautiful," "utter liberation," and, of course, "crazy amazing."

But what you might not have known is that it is finally, totally, completely finished. Almost.

That's according to Gaga herself, who took to her Twitter account on Wednesday to announce that she's nearly wrapped production on Born, and that her little monsters' long wait is just about over. Unless she's not satisfied with every last detail, of course.

"Endless melodies, hooks [and] poetry sledge-hammering my skull," she tweeted. "It won't be much longer, it's almost perfect. But I (we) don't want almost."

Of course, there's still no release date (tentative or otherwise) for Born This Way, though Gaga has been playing songs from the album — like "You And I" and "Living on the Radio" — since the summer, and has discussed the project at length during her Monster Ball performances. In September, at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, she announced the title of the album after winning Video of the Year.

Those who have heard Born This Way can't seem to stop gushing over it. On Tuesday, MTV News caught up with Gaga's label boss, Akon, who said the album "is definitely ... a notch up" from her previous work, and that she's "taking things to the next level."

Gaga's manager, Troy Carter, said that he's just starting to play music from Born for Interscope Records, and that the songs on the album are "incredible." He also hinted that the album would be "coming soon."

Ke$ha's Cannibal: A Cheat Sheet

Singer has already scored a hit with new single 'We R Who We R.'
By Gil Kaufman

Photo: Jon Kopaloff/ Getty Images

It's been a pretty phenomenal year for Ke$ha. The brash, glitter-loving club kid burst onto the scene in January with her debut album, Animal, hot on the heels of the smash debut single "Tik Tok."

In short order, she ended the chart run of Susan Boyle when Animal debuted at #1, made her first trip to the Grammy Awards, teamed up with pals 3OH!3 for another hit video with "Blah Blah Blah," dropped in on "American Idol" and hit the road with Rihanna. And that's just the first three months of the year!

But after scoring another hit with "Your Love Is My Drug" and flipping the bird to haters over their critiques of her wobbly debut on "Saturday Night Live," Ke$ha unleashed another single, "Take It Off."

For a minute, there was talk of a follow-up album that might have a country twang, not out of the question considering that she's a Nashville native and her mom penned songs for Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash. But as she said at the time, "I'm also really digging being called, like, half-jokingly, a white-girl rapper. I think it's really funny, and I'm going to ride that train for a little bit."

By August, she was already plotting her next move, telling MTV News, "I'm always writing and kind of thinking of the next step. I'm still executing this record properly onstage, but the next record is definitely on my mind, and potentially in the works soon." She described waking up in Tokyo at 4 in the morning with a brainstorm for a new song and then spending seven hours making a "horrible" beat on "Garage Band" and singing and rapping into her computer.

A short time later, it was announced that her nine-song follow-up, Cannibal, would hit stores November 22 as a "companion" album to a reissue of Animal. The disc was reported to contain eight new songs produced by heavy-hitters like Max Martin, Benny Blanco and Bangladesh and to be preceded by "We R Who We R."

"This year has been carnivorous and life-changing. I have my rowdy, gorgeous fans to thank for taking me on the ride of a lifetime," Ke$ha said in a statement. "My only goal with this record is to keep them dancing. The songs on Cannibal were made to inspire people to ignore any hate or judgment and be themselves unapologetically. It's the perfect companion to Animal and I hope you guys like it. And if you don't like it — bite me."

Though a rumored hookup with Drake was false, a confirmed track list proved to have plenty of profane and silly titles, including (ahem) "C U Next Tuesday," "Sleazy," "Blow," "The Harold Song," "Cannibal," "We R," "Crazy Beautiful Life" and "Grow a Pear," plus a remix of "Animal." After winning an MTV EMA for Best New Act, the singer also locked in her first headlining affair, the Get $leazy Tour, which is slated to kick off February 15 in Portland, Oregon.

Like most major new albums, Cannibal leaked online a week before it hit shelves, perhaps the finest proof yet that Ke$ha has truly hit the big time. Only this time, after most of the songs had hit the Web, Ke$ha just posted the damn thing herself on her website and told her fans to enjoy.

"This is my album premiere, and it's top secret, and it's really fun and it's wild," Ke$ha said in a message posted on her site. "Things are going to get crazy and a little awkward, it'll be okay. Listen to it."

She's going to have plenty of major competition on the charts this week with new releases from Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and My Chemical Romance, but something tells us Ke$ha isn't that worried.

Open the floodgates! It's Mega-Release Week, with Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Ke$ha, My Chemical Romance and Lloyd Banks all dropping new albums. Stick with MTV News for everything you need to know about the brand-new music.

'Burlesque' Is About The 'Tease,' Cher Says

Plus: We badger co-star Stanley Tucci about why he doesn't get a song-and-dance number in the film.
By Kara Warner

Photo: MTV News

After weeks of seeing those titillating "Burlesque" billboards and TV spots, the movie is finally here! For those looking for something fun to see this holiday weekend — specifically a musical with a little sugar and spice, plus Cher, Christina Aguilera and a lot of eye candy — then this is the movie for you.

And despite the stars' admissions to a few unsexy moments during production, it's safe to say that the majority of the film is sexy, sassy fun. But don't take our word for it; take Cher's. When we caught up with the legendary star recently and sly, quick-witted co-star Stanley Tucci, they gave us a rundown on what sexy is all about: chest hair.

To better set up this scenario, it should be noted that when MTV News walked into the interview room, Cher and Tucci were involved in a playful exchange about whether Tucci should button more buttons on his shirt.

"I can see the little 'I think I'm sexy,' because you've got the button happening," Cher told Tucci about his chest hair peeking out of his shirt.

"Oh, the button, yeah. Oh, I can't [button it up]. That would be sad," he quipped.

"Also, the hair is pushing the shirt away, so you've got to let it out," Cher shot back.

"That's right," Tucci said, opening his collar wider. "That's right, baby."

"It's gotta be free, it's gotta run wild," Cher added.

With a break in the friendly banter, we told Tucci that with all the song-and-dance action in the film, we were disappointed that his character doesn't have his own number.

"No, believe me, you're not," he said, which made Cher laugh out loud.

"Everybody keeps asking that question!" she exclaimed.

"If there had been, there would have been real disappointment," Tucci insisted.

Surely with all the downtime on set, he picked up a few things, like some dance moves.

"I did, but I got shots for those," he joked. "No, I'm not a singer, I'm not a singer."

Very well. We then turned the conversation back to the subject at hand — "Burlesque" — and Cher's take on what makes the film's style of dance sexy without being all about sex.

"Burlesque itself is more about tease," Cher said. "It's more about what you think is going to happen, not necessarily what's happening. It's kind of fun."

Check out everything we've got on "Burlesque."

Britney Spears 'Glee' Episode Takes On '... Baby One More Time'

Lea Michele dons Brit's naughty schoolgirl look for a faithful cover of the 1998 hit.
By Aly Semigran

Lea Michele performs "... Baby One More Time" on "Glee" on Tuesday

It was the song that launched the career of one of the most beloved, albeit troubled, pop stars of the past decade. Its iconic video spawned a modern-day "Lolita" and earned the title of #1 first favorite video on "TRL." So, of course, Britney Spears' 1998 smash "... Baby One More Time" was an obvious choice for Tuesday night's episode of "Glee."

While general-anesthesia-induced hallucinations had another Brittany (Heather Morris) tackling "Me Against the Music" and "I'm a Slave 4 U," star Lea Michele took on the timelessly catchy "...Baby One More Time." As Michele mimicked Spears' naughty schoolgirl look, the instantly recognizable opening notes pounded on the piano (though the "Glee" version had a slight change of key). With her throaty "Oh bay-buh, bay-buh," Michele effortlessly channeled the song (surprisingly enough, she sounded downright restrained) that made the former "Mickey Mouse Club" member a superstar.

It's fitting that "Glee" paid homage to the song that is but a few weeks away from celebrating its 12th anniversary. (Go on and take a moment to absorb that information.) "... Baby One More Time," the first single of Spears' debut album of the same name, was released in the United States in late October 1998.

Of course, it could have all sounded very different if writer Max Martin had followed through with his original plan to have R&B heavyweights TLC sing the track. The song was also originally titled "Hit Me Baby One More Time" but was changed due to concerns about it being misinterpreted.

In Spears' capable 16-year-old pigtails, the single went on to sell over 9 million copies, garnered Spears her first Grammy nomination (Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, which she lost to Sarah McLachlan for "I Will Remember You") and reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The rest of the album featured other Spears hits, including "(You Drive Me) Crazy" and "Sometimes," but neither of those songs left quite the same impact.

Spears told Blender — which placed the track at the #9 spot on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born" — that the song wasn't an easy undertaking for her at first (of course, neither was the immense fame that followed). Spears revealed, "I didn't do well at all the first day in the studio. I was just too nervous. So I went out that night and had some fun. The next day I was completely relaxed and nailed it. You gotta be relaxed singing '... Baby One More Time.' "

Spears looked more than at ease during awards show appearances that followed, namely the 1999 VMAs, in which the leather-clad pop princess took the stage alongside her tourmates 'NSYNC for a "... Baby One More Time"/ "Tearin' Up My Heart" showstopper.

Of course, long before the folks at "Glee" took "... Baby One More Time" out for a spin, countless other musicians had already had at it. From punk rock (Simple Plan) to acoustic (Travis), Spears' song has been refashioned (albeit, sometimes ironically) in many genres. Take, for instance, Bowling for Soup's cover of the ditty, which wound up on Bowling for Soup Goes to the Movies. And even Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray took a crack at it in the 2003 film "Freaky Friday."

Them Crooked Vultures make their debut with a post-Lollapalooza set.

Officially, Lollapalooza ended Sunday night in Chicago's Grant Park, with dueling sets from the Killers and Jane's Addiction. Unofficially, it ended very early Monday morning, across town at venerable rock club the Metro, with a surprise show by Them Crooked Vultures.

To the unfamiliar, the Vultures might seem like an odd choice to close out Lolla weekend ... until you realize that they're made up of Foo Fighters frontman/ former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age mastermind Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin legend John Paul Jones. And their gig at the Metro was their world premiere.

According to some reports, the Vultures actually turned down Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell's request to replace the Beastie Boys as headliners at the festival, opting to debut in front of some 1,100 super-psyched fans at the Metro, rather than 75,000 in Grant Park (tickets for the gig were announced via Foo Fighter/ QOTSA fan clubs). Meaning that, in a lot of ways, this was the most sought-after ticket in town.

Taking the stage just after midnight, the Vultures — Grohl on drums (of course), Homme on guitar and vocals, Jones on bass and keys and frequent QOTSA contributor Alain Johannes on guitar — ripped through 12 songs in 80 minutes, all taken from their upcoming debut, which may or may not be called Never Deserved the Future, and may or may not be hitting stores on October 23 (early "promo" videos touting both those facts were revealed over the weekend to be hoaxes perpetrated by QOTSA fans).

The songs, with appropriately Homme-ian titles like "Scumbag Blues," "Mind Eraser (No Chaser)," "Caligulove" and "Interlude w/Ludes," sounded pretty much how you'd expect, given the band's pedigree. They rocked, hard — Chicago Tribune critic Greg Kot described them as "fresh, invigorating and just plain nasty" — delving off into psychedelic, reverb-filled excursions and exploring proggy territory, "both of the old-school Yes variety, and the more modern Tool flavor," according to the Chicago Sun-Times' Jim DeRogatis.

It's not known if Monday's Metro performance was a one-off event for the Vultures — there have been whispers of a full-blown tour, but a spokesperson for Homme had not responded to MTV News' request for comment at press time. Nor was it clear whether or not they'll have an album out in October.

Early Monday, a Crooked Vultures Twitter account, which had previously posted links to the band's official-looking Web site and the Metro's online ticketing site — posted a link to what appears to be the group's first bit of official merchandise: a Deserve the Future T-shirt. Cost: $30.
